since i don't have a slam man and although carl has offered his butt if ever i feel like kicking some ass...I just released some steam by going walking with Joy this evening. We went to that carpark near carlos palanca street where apparently a lot of people also go to walk or jog. We went around about 6 or 7 times till we broke into a sweat. It was funny though because we realized later on that vince and alex were right behind us :-) heehee...i never saw alex in shorts before. see this is why i don't want to work out in the AIM gym. If those guys see me all sweaty while huffing and puffing away, they will have no more respect for me in class. bwahahahaha...but i think today was a good start. A lot of us will be walking in the evenings from now on. Anton even called me when i got back to the dorm to ask about the QA assignment. After we clarified a few things I asked him where he was then he said he was going to the Polo Club gym. Geez! he's been losing a lot of weight lately and I think all of us are hoping we also lose some weight. I want to get back to my old size...hopefully in a few months! yahoo!

have too much bottled up frustration inside. Need a slam man to punch till my knuckles bleed.

a trend is a trend is a trend until it bends.

* since i love my joey who doesn't feel comfortable reading about my anger, i have decided to delete parts of this blog *

this is a message to all the culture vultures out there and your prententious/poser ways. yeesh. My brother told me about this irritating article he came across about the so-called "indie" revolution. It said that the "in" thing now was to be indie. the article proceeded to write about what to wear, the slang to use, what occupation or bum lifestyle you had to have so that you would be classified as "indie". what the??? what the hell is that all about? So now if i follow those rules I am considered an in-die?

just because i don't lead a life of watching every single art film in the universe and show off my extensive vocabulary deconstructing it to high heavens until I get analysis paralysis...i am not considered an art film lover? just because i like to watch commercial movies from time to time, i'm not in the uppercrust of the "indie" world? Puh-leeze! and just because i don't work in the arts/media or spend all my free time hobnobbing with artists or whatever doesn't mean i'm not an artistic person. You don't know me. Don't feel like you can be glorified to judge me. Sorry need to vent frustration right now.

i've been thinking about something...a friend of mine just got her heart broken by a guy who thinks he's "destined for greatness" and acts like any woman should be grateful to be with a "good guy" like him - talk about self-proclamation! Why are there jerks like that? Even if you think you're such a great catch, do you have to be a jerk and let it go to your head? or tell the world that you're sooo great? You may be a nice conservative boy...but if your arrogance is as "great" as this guy's...well then it all cancels out.

Living is a constant process of deciding what we are going to do - Jose Ortega y Gasset

Wealth, in even the most improbably cases, manages to convey the aspect of intelligence - John Kenneth Gailbraith

There is real magic in enthusiasm. It spells the difference between mediocrity and accomplishment. - Norman Vincent Peale

just watched Catch Me If You Can. Spielberg has redeemed himself! Watching this movie really touched me and i'm glad it had a happy ending. I liked the innocence of the 60's that he showed...no hippies, no vietnam. It was the view with rose-colored glasses although you can see that there was a sad side hidden such as with the life of Frank's father, perfectly portrayed by Christopher Walken . But it was still good. I read that the real Frank Abignale helped make this film. He showed the screenwriters how he forged the checks and how easy it was back then. I guess with all the advances in technology this would seem harder to accomplish. It also helped that the soundtrack was filled with music from that era, more notedly the poster boy of the good life: Frank Sinatra. As i've said before, i was born in the wrong time. I wish I could go back in time and be among the men dressed in suits, women always put together, and the cops were clean.
There are a lot of downloads from the website like screensavers, wallpaper and you can listen to the soundtrack: catch me
