have you ever noticed that the first horoscope book to dissappear from bookshelves are for scorpios? we all buy those things, we all read em and believe em.

Scorpio is the eighth Sign of the Zodiac, and you shouldn't take that lightly. You shouldn't take Scorpios lightly, either. Those born under this Sign are dead serious in their mission to learn about others. There's no fluff or chatter for Scorpios, either: these folks will zero in on the essential questions, gleaning the secrets that lie within. Scorpios concern themselves with beginnings and endings, and are unafraid of either.

The curiosity of Scorpios is immeasurable, which may be why they are such adept investigators. These folks love to probe and know how to get to the bottom of things. The fact that they have a keen sense of intuition certainly helps.
It's the Scorpion which symbolizes Scorpios, and it's no accident.
These folks are intense, passionate and filled with desire. They're also complex and secretive, so don't expect to get much out of them, lest they become suspicious and exit stage left. It's best not to bet against Scorpios, either, since these folks are surprisingly resourceful.
Scorpio is ruled by the Planets Mars and Pluto. This planetary combo makes for people who are motivated, penetrating and aware.

Scorpions don't miss much, since they are highly attuned to the vibrations of others. They are intuitive, probing and very focused on knowing who's who and what's what.

Be aware that these folks are clever, perceptive and always in the mix. The Scorpion's colors? Powerful red and serious black. When it comes to love, though, Scorpions soften up a bit and are caring and devoted with their lovers.

I love my joey bear! :)

finally got to see rules of attraction last night after hanging out in pearl with everyone. To watch it at 2am and still like it means it must be good. We were so tired already but we figured we may as well watch the dvd of ramon...este...quark na pala ang may-ari. Heniways, the start was already pretty interesting. The director had some interesting shots and angles. But i was thinking, maybe it has a lot to do with the editing as well. Kinda like memento. Joey and i spent a lot of time debating as to the time-frame-arrangement of the movie but i've been pretty observant lately so i was the one who got the right idea. (note to others: *deleted*)
i'm sorry if anyone read that deleted portion.

Anyway, Rules was really entertaining. The storyline had enough twists and turns for you to keep on thinking. Simple dialogue and aside from the main cast, those with smaller parts were pretty good too! like the girl who committed suicide. She's a nobody yet she convinced me she was dying in that tub. There were also a lot of issues regarding the drugs they use, that scary gay guy and all the sex in the movie. I think it was pretty visual without showing everything. And the scene did not try too hard. I think college life was pretty much like that, everything seemed like a life and death situation. Like your life would be over if the guy you pined for slept with someone else. Now that you're older - where's the drama? llife isn't that drastic but its still there and comes out from time to time. AND surprisingly, Van de beek delivered. But with that receding hairline, can they stop giving him teen roles already? cmon guys. Oh and in college? we also found pretty much every excuse to have a party in the weekend. Ironic that in the movie, it was called the end of the world party. Nothing is the end of the world even if it may feel that way. A boy dumps you, you get beaten up, you fail a class or some other shitty thing that comes your way.

Watched How to Make an American Quilt over lunch. Aaargh! VHS quality sucks! (back to hyde) but you gotta make do sometimes. (back to jeckyll) I am really tempted to buy pirated DVDs now...don't have cash to buy the real ones anymore! plus i'm saving for someone's birthday gift...

I just realized that winona ryder has huge hips man! her boobs are huge and she's got a small waist but her thighs and hips are huge! she hides them in balloony skirts but looking at her in shorts, well...how come in reality bites they weren't that big? although she was wearing those frumpy flowy dresses also. hmm...but dermot mulroney will always be yummy! best friend's wedding...american quilt...always the good guy yet never boring =)

Summing up both movies: American quilt says don't be too unattached to things that you love. You don't give up just because it's hard. Rules of Attraction says don't get too attached, it's not "the end of the world".

We’ve been noticing this actress lately: Gabrielle Union.

First we saw her in a movie on HBO or something with Vivica Fox called Two Can Play That Game. Joey said she looked like Brandy. I think she looks like a younger, thinner Janet Jackson (after plastic surgery because Janet did not look that good when she was younger)
Then we saw her as the rival cheerleader in Bring It On with Kirsten Dunst. Yesterday, she was one tough chick in Cradle 2 the Grave with Jet Li and DMX. And she can kick some ass! Especially Kelly Hu’s who is not really as cool as she thinks she is.
I think Gabrielle is also the love interest of Will Smith in Bad Boys II and was also in the movie Abandon with Katie Holmes and Benjamin Bratt. Pretty busy, ain’t she?
Someone said she was in Ten Things I Hate About You. I wanna watch that movie again =)

Other movies I want to watch:

Personal Velocity starring Parker Posey
Equilibrium
Just Married – wanna get another look at Ashton Kutcher’s perfect body (yes I like thin boys can’t you tell?)
Auto Focus – latest movie by director Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver) who is at present filming the prequel of the Exorcist (starring our very own Billy Crawford, I think) anyway, I am also curious to see his other film: Mishima starring Ken Ogata
Punch Drunk Love – which my boy watched without me (grrr) guess I’ll find another boy to watch it with (just kidding)
Gangs of New York
The Pianist – starring Adrien Brody who I last saw in Summer of Sam as a punk brit something

Did you know Tom Cruise is making The Last Samurai?
He plays Woodrow Algen, a US Cavalry Officer who is seconded to the Japanese army in 1876 to help the troops of emperor Meiji modernize their fighting tactics. Since when did the Japanese come need the US for help? Hehe Anyway, this is Tom Cruise’s attempt to break into another type of film proving once again to us that he is NOT the versatile actor he thinks he is. Wanna bet there is a scene where he is running? He runs in every movie! Remember the Firm? Jerry Maguire? Top Gun? Risky Business? Minority Report? Mission Impossible? He likes to run in his films, it might be the only convincing act he can do successfully. Or maybe it’s because he’s a short man. Bwahahahaha!

The other day, Joey and I went to see Chicago. I begged to go watch in Glorietta “for a change” but he saw right through that excuse because he knows it’s the only goddarn place with real buttered popcorn. Hehe. Well, what can I say, the movie was not boring. I was entertained by the dance numbers, and they weren’t long ones either. The story was also fun but I found it very predictable – and I never even watched the broadway play! As I’ve told my friends before, I’m only watching this for one person: Catherine Zeta Jones. I also want to see the whole scene where she and Renee are dancing in front of all those lights. I think that was the hottest scene for them since they had their sexy legs prancing about. But I really don’t like Renee Zellweger. I am imagining every guy pulling my arm and shouting in my face: but didn’t you see her in Jerry Maguire?! She was so cute there!” ok she was cute there and in Empire Records but now, I can see her flinging her boney little body at me. That’s not sexy! That’s Calista Flockhart! I heard Renee gained a little weight (thank God!) for Down With Love, a retro movie with Ewan McGregor (my boy! *swoon*)

See? Bone-y woman!
My verdict for Chicago? Not boring but not breathtaking either.

Has anyone seen the print ad for Edward Norton’s 25th hour? I think it’s (as joey would say it) asteeg! =)

I was reading about the new movie Rules of Attractionand came across a familiar name: Kip Pardue. Haha they were right, this name is cool! How can you forget it? Kip Pardue! It’s just one of the three syllable names that you usually find in actors’ names: Paul Newman, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Ben Stiller, Bill Cosby – hahahahahaha!

Check out their website rules of attraction
Anyway, it looks like an ok movie. The movie poster is also kitschy with the teddy bears doing all the sex positions possible. Here’s the plot: Campus drug dealer Sean (James Van Der Beek who can’t get out of roles of teenagers no matter how old he is in real life) thinks Lauren (Shannyn Sossamon with weirdo hair – what’s new?) is sending him love letters, but she’s saving her virginity ...for boyfriend Victor (aaah now it’s believable) - played by Kip Pardue! – who is on a trip to Europe. Bisexual Paul (I guess bisexuality is a trend that has infiltrated teen movies!) played by Ian Somerhalder (can you tell this is his real name? Oh but he is mighty gorgeous people!probably the face that will make me go and watch this movie in the theaters) is drawn to Sean’s dark side and once dated Lauren. Meanwhile, their fellow students prepare for the weekend’s End of the World Party…

I think that is because they know their lunatic president Bush will declare war while they were writing this movie. I ask, who are the stupid, idiotic people in the United States (oh gosh there are so many!) who voted for this man to be the leader of the free (and arrogant) world? Aaaargh!

Ironic quote today: from an Indian classmate in AIM
“You know what marge? I will give a million bucks to anyone who will take down Bush!” Any terrorist takers in the house?
