I am reading a chapter in my Marketing Book of sales promotion/advertising blah blah. Anyway, there were some surprisingly hilarious stuff. Like it said - and take note this is a staple book in every Marketing course, written by Philip Kotler the Father of Marketing - not all celebrity endorsements are successful. I quote: "In the Philippines, Toyota signed on Lea Salonga, the star of Miss Saigon to appear in their ads. However, consumers perceived Salonga to be too fat, her outfit too dowdy, and her aria dubious." Wow, our country gets mentioned but it's still negative. Sigh.
And I made a mistake earlier. The book said that Faye Wong endorsed Virgin Airlines in its London-HongKong route. I thought she was the same one who starred in Shanghai Knights. My mistake, that was Fann Wong as I had written in an earlier entry. hwehwe!
